Tortoise Shell Pin with Cat's Eye Shell

DESCRIPTION	This is a beautiful antique Tortoise Shell Pin with a Cat's Eye Shell. During the Victorian era, Cat's Eye Shells were made into jewelry which was worn to ward off the evil eye. The shells have a natural cabochon shape and so it was easy to set them into jewelry. The Cat's Eye has a Dog toothed setting in this wonderful piece of antique jewelry. The pin measures 2-1/4 inches in length and 1-1/4 inches in width. It was during the Victorian period that natural materials became very popular with tortoise shell being one of the favorites. All of our Tortoise Shell is Antique or Vintage it was imported prior to the 1960’s. U.S. Law prohibits the international sale of Tortoise Shell; therefore we cannot ship Tortoise Shell outside the United States.
