Cat Eye Tortoise Shell Cuff Links
|
|
Back |
For your consideration is a pair of
tortoise shell cuff links with a cat eye in center. They are designed in a rectangular shape
and are mounted on a aluminum cuff link frame. They measure 7/8 inch in
length and approximately 3/4 inch in width. These rare tortoise shell
cuff links would be a perfect gift for the man who has everything. The
color is beautiful: it is a translucent slightly yellow almost
clear with brown markings, pre-1950s. This shell is from the
"Turban Snail," and is also called "Pacific Cat Eye." It was
believed that they were capable of warding off evil. Sometimes
it is called the Evil Eye about 1/2 inch round.
Note: Our inventory of tortoise shell jewelry is
either antique or vintage and was imported prior to the 1960s. Due to
U.S. law prohibiting the international sale of tortoise shell, we cannot
ship these items outside the U.S. |
