Art Nouveau Pendant with Real Butterfly Wings

DESCRIPTION    Golden colored Butterfly Wings adorn this beautiful Art Nouveau Pendant. They are protected with a glass which is surrounded by a decorative sterling silver case. This lovely antique is marked Sterling Silver England on the back. There is a small silver flower at the top of the necklace. The Sterling Silver chain measures 15 inches. The pendant part of the necklace is shaped like a tie and measures 2-1/4 inches in length and 1/2 inch at it's widest point. This is a beautiful Art Nouveau piece. Nature was a source of inspiration for the Victorians in the form of flowers, lovebirds, animals and insects. circa 1920.
