This lovely Art Nouveau Sash Pin is from the 1900s. It has a bezel-set, faceted,
citrine-colored, glass-center cabochon with a five petal flower; probably a dogwood. Surrounding the cabochon is a raised flower and dragonfly design. It
measures 3 inches in length and 1-3/4 inches in width. It has an old "C" clasp, and the pin is brass. Sash pins were worn predominantly in the
Victorian and Edwardian time periods. Edwardian ladies would accentuate their corseted waists with wide sashes held in place
by pins such as this - alternatively, they were used on wraps or shawls.
