This beautiful rose cut diamond antique necklace was created and transformed through different periods in history. The bow on the necklace is the
oldest piece, and is a fine example of the gold ribbon designs of the 1700s. The necklace itself is 14k yellow gold, including the clasp and links which contain the rose-cut diamonds. The Figaro-style chain attachment is 12k
gold. Ribbons entwined with leaves were a constant feature in the design of necklaces in the mid 18th century. The pearl at the apex has baroque detail. The necklace has 78 diamonds, and are 3kt. total.
